Are LEKIs learner approved?
Yes. All LEKIs are LAMS-approved and suitable for riders on their learner’s or restricted motorcycle licences.
Are LEKIs street legal?
Absolutely. LEKI motorbikes are ADR-compliant and fully road legal in every Australian state and territory.
How long does it take to charge?
Charging from 0 to 100% takes approximately 4–6 hours depending on the battery size and charger used.
What colours can I buy?

What is the range of the LEKI?
The 5000W LEKI gets 100–110km of range; the 10000W version gets 110–140km depending on speed, terrain, and riding style.
How much is it to run a LEKI?
You can ride a LEKI for around $2.33 per 100km – a fraction of the cost of petrol vehicles, plus almost no servicing.

Can I test ride a LEKI?

Can I replace the battery myself?
Battery replacement must be done by a LEKI technician to ensure safety and performance standards are maintained.
Can I charge my LEKI at a public EV station?
LEKIs use standard 240V charging, so they’re not compatible with DC fast-charging EV stations unless adapted. Home and office power points work best.
Do I need a motorbike licence?
Yes. You’ll need a motorcycle licence (learner, restricted, or full) to ride a LEKI legally on public roads.
Can I ride a LEKI off-road?
LEKIs are road-tuned but rugged enough for light off-road riding. For bush trails or dirt use, check your state’s regulations.
What happens if I leave the isolator switch on in storage?
If not riding for extended periods, fully charge your LEKI, switch the isolator OFF, and check monthly to keep battery above 20%.
How long does the battery last?
Our lithium battery packs are rated for 800–1000 cycles — or around 5+ years of regular riding with proper care.
How do I check my battery health?
Monitor via the dash voltage reading — 72V is full. Stay above 20% to preserve long-term health.
How do I register my LEKI by state?
- NSW: Visit Service NSW with ID, invoice, registration form, and CTP.
- VIC: Book with VicRoads and bring ID, invoice, and Certificate of Roadworthiness.
- QLD: Visit a TMR centre with ID, proof of purchase, and CTP.
- SA: Visit Service SA with ID, invoice, CTP, and compliance docs.
- WA: Go to DOT WA with ID, purchase docs, and CTP. Inspection may apply.
- TAS: Service Tasmania – bring ID, invoice, CTP, and ADR docs.
